‘Tis The Season for Dreaming
Wouldn’t it be great if I could travel the world while running a boutique travel brand with my designs? What if it could afford me the freedom to vacation with my family in Australia, whenever I wanted? What would it look like if @AveMariabell.Designs became a leading retailer in travel-themed products? I have a crazy idea that one day I’ll be able to travel the world sharing my art.
This is a big dream of mine, and while it may seem like a long road ahead, I choose to live as if this dream has already come true. I haven’t been home to Australia in two years, so this year I will be spending a full month home with my family – including in Brisbane for Christmas and Sydney for New Years Eve!
Last year I took a big risk quitting my full-time job, so that I could focus on building on my art venture. It’s been a little over a year and although I feel as if I am just keeping afloat, and who knows where the future will take me – I have absolutely no regrets. I will continue to share my art with the world (whether, I succeed financially or not), because it is meaningful to me to live a creative life.
Although Toronto made me, Australia raised me. Toronto is my city of dreams, and Australia is my home. Which cities and countries make up the person that you are today?
I am a day-dreaming realist – looking to weather all adversity, rain or shine – through this unpredictable entrepreneur journey. The reason I create and share my art, is so that others can also have mementos of cities they have fallen in love with.
As another vacation with my family in Australia draws nearer, I am in production mode! Sanding, and applying a satin finish to these beautiful hand-crafted coasters – just in time for a perfect Christmas gift for someone who loves stylish décor. I believe you should go where you feel the most alive. I feel the most alive surrounded by people that I love, while sharing art I am passionate about. I LOVE TORONTO, but Australia is where my heart is. I’ll be back to visit family in BRISBANE this Christmas and SYDNEY for New Years!
